Overview:
Looking for a candidate who has excellent skills in Performance Engineering and Devops concepts. The NexGen PayRoll team is looking for a Lead Application Developer capable of full-stack Performance Engineering and DevOps. This opportunity is a chance to join a high performing software team that will develop Nextgen Payroll solution on cloud platform.
Work Location: Alpharetta, GA, US
Responsibilities:
- Ensure quality of micro service applications and cloud infrastructure by validating Performance, Stability, Scalability, Reliability and Resiliency in NextGen solutions
- Define Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and shape non-functional requirements and performance of software system micro services
- Monitor, collect, and analyze resource usage for physical servers, virtual servers, cloud infrastructures, web servers, software application servers, and database servers
- Prepare and execute Load, Stress, Endurance, Soak, Baseline, Benchmark, Volume test scenario
- Conduct performance tests, analyze test results, and suggest performance improvements in cloud environment.
- Develop and manage the continuous performance validation framework for the continuous deployment process of software applications.
- Analyze software performance issues using Garbage Collection (GC) logs, heap dumps, thread dumps, Database (DB) Analysis Reports, resource usage data, profiling snapshots, and log files.
- Design and integrate performance engineering and CICD using tools like HP ALM/PC, JMeter, Jenkins or Concourse.
- Knowledge of Spring boot applications and microservices
- Provide recommendations on the Performance test approach/strategy
- Participate in daily standups and Sprint planning in agile environment
- Collaborate with Clients, Product Owners, Analysts, Architects to define the non-functional requirements and the cloud infrastructure configurations to meet the business objectives and support the growth of the business
- Embed in agile process by executing API level tests in the early stage of development
Qualifications:
BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or a related field plus seven (7) years of related experience
Required Skills:
Experience and skills in Performance Testing tools: HP Performance Center 12.5X, HP Load Runner 2020/12.5x, JMeter
Experience and skills in VUGen protocols such as Web, Web Services, Java VUser, TruClient-web, TruClient-Mobile web, Java Vuser for Continuous Delivery, JMeter
Developing test scripts in C, Java, and Java script languages for REST API services and Spring boot Applications
Experience and skills in Application Performance Management & Monitoring Tools: Dynatrace, Splunk and Grafana
Experience in GIT, Jenkins and Concourse
Experience in public cloud preferably AWS cloud and using EC2, S3, ALB, RDS, SQS, SNS, Aurora Database
Experience in docker containers and Kubernetes
Experience in testing on Linux and Windows platform and monitor performance using Linux shell commands/scripts
Experience in testing Application servers such as Tomcat, JBoss or Web Sphere or Web Logic on J2EE technologies
Knowledge and experience in testing Database Servers such as MySql, Oracle, DB2
Preference will be given to candidates who have the following:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability as a problem-solver
- Expert in object oriented JavaScript/jQuery Expert in HTML5 and CSS3
- Working knowledge in security and performance
- Working knowledge in CI (continuous integration)
- Working knowledge of CSS pre-processors ie: LESS, SASS
