Job Description:

  • Work with product development organizations and operations teams to provide the Next-Gen class of support to ADP's Next Gen Payroll system
  • Partner with product owners, architects and development to ensure that the supportability is represented in the platform's roadmap.
  • Triage production issues and resolve critical ones timely
  • Lead the development of bug fixes and application support tools, following Site Reliability Engineering best practices
  • Coordinate emergency patches and maintenance releases
  • Provide feedbacks to improve testing automation, CI/CD and feature development
  • Work with the client implementation and service teams to improve the end users' experience
  • Carry on support duties including nights and weekends

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 8+ year experience in software design, development and support of mission-critical applications.
  • Experience in development and support of SaaS and cloud-based applications
  • Solid knowledge in and experience with Java 8 (Scala desirable), JVM ecosystem, memory model, tuning, threading, reactive streams, modularization
  • Solid knowledge in and experience with Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Integration, Spring Cloud Data Flow etc)
  • Solid knowledge in and experience with service oriented architecture including microservices
  • Knowledge of Domain Driven Design
  • Solid understanding of and experience with relational and non-relational databases
  • Experience with testing automation frameworks and DevOps such as CI/CD
  • Willingness and ability to dive into any application/environment to resolve technical issues

  • Creative thinking in proactive production support with a familiarity / experience of in the Site Reliability Engineering best practices
