Job Summary
This position is located in Hazard, KY.

The University of Kentucky Center of Excellence in Rural Health is seeking a Laboratory Manager to support the growth of the CARAT-TOP (Coordinating and Assisting the Reuse of Assistive Technology- Together One Priority) program. Overall responsibilities of this position include, but not limited to: support the functions of the maker space lab and faculty by managing and maintaining the cleanliness of equipment and supplies; ensure proper operation of maker space equipment; train, teach, and mentor high schools, undergraduate & graduate students in proper execution of maker space equipment procedures, data management, and reporting; gather and maintain records and/or data and perform routine analysis using computer software; and compile, summarize and report results.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
MS Windows, Excel, PowerPoint, 3D printing, experience working with power tools
Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No
Preferred Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree or relevant trade school; 3-5 years of experience working with assistive technology. Ideal candidate would have Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America (RESNA) certification or training.
