Physical Requirements | This position requires regularly lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects weighing up to or over 50 pounds; sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time; performing tasks with repetitive motions (such as typing); intermittently standing or walking with objects weighing up to 10 pounds; working at heights above four feet and/or in confined spaces; and occasionally standing or walking with objects weighing up to 25 pounds. Also involves some risk of injury from moving, lifting, or positioning patients, equipment, or materials; exposure to loud noises, temperature extremes, hazardous chemicals and fumes including waste, radiation, burns, cuts/punctures, blood-borne/airborne pathogens, and combative/violent people. |
Shift | Primarily day shifts with hours to be set with chosen candidate. This position requires working some weekends, holidays, and during times of emergency. |
Job Summary | UK Healthcare is growing once again! We are expanding our Interventional Sonography services, and are hiring for new technologists. This position will provide ultrasound guidance for the Department of Interventional Radiology procedures. The sonographer will assist physicians and APPs during US guided procedures and be responsible for sterile procedure set up and may assist in patient care during procedures. |
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities | PACS, RIS, Ultrasound Physics, Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology. |

Preferred Education/Experience | Clinical ultrasound experience, guided procedures and/or vascular experience preferred. |
