Job Summary | The Insurance Technology Trainer/UKHC is responsible for developing and presenting technical training related to computer based patient care systems, including maintenance of Automated Insurance Manual (AIM), development of e-learning modules, and providing education regarding commercial insurance, as well as federal and state payer programs (e.g. Medicare and Medicaid). This position is also responsible for the development and administration of competency tests, provision of one-on-one instruction, and on-the-job guidance. The ideal candidate will possess superlative verbal and written communication, organization, and planning skills as well as strong computer skills and a team-oriented approach. The University of Kentucky considers the health, safety and well-being of our entire community to be a top priority. Skills / Knowledge / Abilities | The ideal candidate will possess excellent attention to detail and exceptional written and verbal communication skills; effective planning and organizational skills; strong technology and programming skills, including Microsoft Office, HQPM, APM, and AIM; and knowledge regarding auditing, training, and patient registration practices and procedures preferred. |

Preferred Education/Experience | Prior experience in training preferred. Experience with healthcare, health insurance, patient registration, and/or technology a plus. |
