The Implementation Specialist I is an integral member of the HRIS team, primarily supporting the HR Shared Services (HRSS) implementation team, and is responsible for the implementation and support of RSAC Enterprise HR applications, processes and projects. This role is tasked with working with the Dayforce Implementation Lead and Business Stakeholders to gather, understand and document business requirements that support system implementations and process changes. The Implementation Specialist I is responsible for documenting the current business process and the desired “to be” state, while taking into account the Reliance enterprise standards. The Implementation Specialist I will assist in gathering, analyzing and transforming data from the business stakeholders as necessary for the system implementations. In addition to requirements and data gathering, the Implementation Specialist I supports the User Acceptance Testing planning, script development and testing activities of the HRSS Program and related applications, working closely with business stakeholders, vendors and the entire program team to identify and understand issues, problems and opportunities. As part of the HRSS Program team, the Implementation Specialist I is responsible to ensure the systems and processes delivered support the needs of our Family of Companies and Reliance Corporate and are delivered in a thorough, timely and seamless manner.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

 

Requirements Elicitation - Ability to identify a desired future state that addresses a business problem.

Requirements Management and Analysis - Ability to define, document and manage business requirements to the smallest set that will provide the biggest impact in advancing business objectives.

 

  • Accurately translates business requirements into functionality
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, dissect and translate the information into clear and defined requirements, and distinguish user requirements from the underlying needs and wants
  • Manage requirements to meet business expectations
  • Document the current business process and the desired “to be” state
  • Provide best practice suggestions for process improvement and leverages the capabilities of the HR systems
  • Providing Accurate Project Effort Estimates - Ability to quantify and meet individual and project phase level efforts.
  • Create, manage and meet accurate project effort estimates for assigned tasks
  • Input into the development of project plans, schedules, resource needs for various HR applications projects
  • Designing for Usability - Ability to translate business requirements into business solutions for end-user adoption and productivity improvement.
  • Incorporate usability and user interface (UI) efficiencies into business solutions
  • Understand the business data needs as it relates to a potential solution
  • Effectively conveys the business preferences to the HRSS program team and vendors
  • Business Requirements Testing and Validation - Managing traceability of business requirements through testing and validation process.
  • Ensure that business requirements have been met through testing and validation
  • Execute functional testing and validation of proposed solution
  • Develop effective use cases to test solution to business requirements
  • Document validation results and addresses any that were not as expected
  • User Acceptance Testing - Collaborates with stakeholder in testing for acceptance of end user business solution.
  • Build user acceptance test cases
  • Coordinate testing with end users
  • Provide clarification on basic questions of solution testing
  • Train end-users on business solution
  • Incorporate customer feedback into delivery of service to provide the best experience possible for the customer
  • Relationship Management - Ability to engage team members and business sponsors, contributing to their targeted department and business outcomes.
  • Work with the internal teams to document user procedures and guidelines
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of and ability to interpret and teach all applications and hardware supported
  • Proactively resolves customer satisfaction issues
  • Serve as escalation and/or day to day support of HRIS team
  • Serve as the liaison between the subsidiary companies, I.T. department, and the software vendor through which requirements flow

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in a related field required
  • 2+ years of experience in testing and data validation for HRIS systems (i.e. HR/PR, WFM, etc.) required
  • 2+ years of Implementation experience in HR systems required
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently, with minimal supervision and as part of a team and improve skills quickly through self-study, and apply techniques on the job when appropriate
  • Ability to perform with minimal guidance; capable of managing fairly complex projects and use initiative to accomplish goals
  • Detail oriented with excellent interpersonal communication and project management skills
  • Strong oral and written communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to analyze information, identify problems, and recommend solutions for complex problems
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Aptitude in logical thinking and problem solving required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
  • Experience developing relevant test scripts a plus
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, at all levels including customers, vendors, peers, business stakeholders and management required
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office products required
  • Proficiency with some collaboration tools like Box
  • Capable of learning new systems and creating/implementing new system functionality
