Job Description

  • Champion the onboarding and process, ensuring the process is up to date and of high quality, providing clarity and connection for all employees and their role in relation to the overall vision
  • Work closely with site leadership and employees to improve engagement, retention, and organizational effectiveness aimed at delivering stronger business performance
  • Review and manage Leaves of Absence and ADA statuses on a weekly basis- Partner with third party vendor to ensure follow through, compliance and timely responses to requests
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and leaders to source and hire top talent into the organization Coordinate on-site wellness activities for both sites (e.g., flu shots, blood drives)
  • Regularly audit employee data in HRIS to ensure data is up to date and accurate. Reconcile monthly headcount report with Finance
  • Update tier boards on a weekly basis and ensure accurate reporting of HR data
  • Ensure job descriptions are up to date at all times
  • Follow up on Workers Compensation injuries and illnesses and ensure timely reporting, accommodations are made, if necessary, and collaborate with Environmental Health and Safety on Workers Compensation investigations.
  • Spend consistent and regular time on the manufacturing and packaging floors; interacting with employees, and leaders and increasing overall business acumen
  • Implement, track and oversee the employee development process. Support operational leaders regarding development of individualized training and development plans for employees. Work with leaders and employees to ensure the training and developments plans are executed.
  • Engage with leaders in workforce planning, identifying talent gaps and risk, and developing strategy for meeting talent needs.
  • Identify and utilize HR metrics (e.g. workforce data and trends, turnover) to diagnose and proactively address or anticipate potential challenges to the business
  • Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensure policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance. Ensure all employment law state and federal postings are up to date at all times
  • Thoroughly conduct, document and manage complex employee relations situations to encourage compliance and support resolution. Provide general communications coaching to leaders.
  • Guide leader to have timely, critical conversations and ensures the appropriate management of conflict
  • Perform administrative and clerical functions for department as necessary                                                                                                                

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Business or Human Resources.
  • Minimum 5 years of Human Resources generalist experience in a manufacturing and/or healthcare environment, including strong employee relations experience
  • Advanced knowledge of all facets of Human Resources: Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Talent Assessment and Development, Employee Engagement and Performance Management.
  • Advance knowledge of labor/employee relations and Federal and State regulations and compliance.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook). Advanced Excel skills and strong statistical and strong analytical skills preferred.
  • Must be able to work off shifts occasionally
  • Must have experience in a demanding, changing, high performance work environment and team- oriented culture.
  • Must have a strong track record of results achieved through collaboration, influence skills, and organizational and change management skills
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication/presentation skills
  • Must have experience working with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Must have experience working in Union environment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of pharma and/or API manufacturing preferred.
