Position Description:
POSITION PURPOSE
The National Sales Manager will have responsibility for driving business to business sales and profitability. This includes, but is not limited to business client acquisition, relationship management, developing statements of work, and contract negotiation. The National Sales Manager is expected to possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be able to coordinate strategic consultative discussions between Home Depot corporate and field associates, Home Depot Service Providers, and potential or existing business clients.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Identify key business client acquisition targets and qualify prospects by conducting face to face sales meetings and presentations. Participate in industry specific tradeshows and conventions to develop sales leads and business relationships.
  • Work closely with potential and existing clients to develop strategic partnerships that result in mutually beneficial financial outcomes. Interact with clients to review business results, identify needs, and build long term solutions.
  • Coordinate Home Depot field team and Service Provider network activities as needed to help develop work scopes, product needs and construction coordination ensuring customer satisfaction and program profitability.
  • General time/territory/administrative duties as defined by Director Renovation Services.

This position typically reports to Director Renovation Services

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

Environment:
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Travel:
Typically requires overnight travel more than 50% of the time.


ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Education Required:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Years of Relevant Work Experience: 
10 years

Physical Requirements:

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Banking/Asset Management/Government Sales/Property Management Sales backgrounds are a must 
  • Consultative approach to customer acquisition and resolving customer issues are a plus 
  • Business Acumen is a plus 
  • Customer Service Orientation is a plus
