Job Summary

Student graphic designers: get paid while you build your portfolio with a flexible job in the College of Education as part of our #iCANendthetrend prevention and empowerment program. We are seeking a student to serve as a graphic designer for a variety of projects. Must possess proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and experience creating professional, engaging graphics. Typical assignments will include creation of flyers, invitations, digital signage slides, marketing collateral, presentation graphics/templates, website content, social media graphics, etc. Photography and/or videography skills are a plus. We are also interested in someone who can help coordinate branding/marketing.

This position reports to the #iCANendthetrend Program Director housed in the Department of Kinesiology and Health Promotion. We are seeking someone who can work between 10-20 hours a week (we can flex with your schedule). $13.50 per hour/negotiable with additional experience and training. This job is currently open through June, but has the potential to continue into the next academic year, contingent on funding. Must be creative, independent worker who meets timelines, responsible, professional, reliable, and able to multitask.

Roles and Responsibilities
· Research, design, and develop branded promotional and program materials using best practices.
· Plan and develop content for social media platforms.
· Assist with marketing and branding of program.
Qualifications and Requirements Required
· Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, or a related field with equivalent experience; students in their junior or senior year making progress toward degree will be considered.
· Excellent writing and communication skills and the ability to express ideas clearly and logically in a variety of media
· Experience using graphic design software.
· Ability to be flexible and multi-task in a fast-paced environment and meet stringent deadlines
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Detail oriented, curious, persistent in solving problems, self-motivated, and able to understand complex material and explain it clearly
