Job Description

Teva is searching for a GMP/Compliance Training Manager to join our team in Irvine, CA!

This position will be responsible for managing all Training Department functions for Teva Irvine, including the designing, developing and implementing cGMP-related and non-cGMP related training programs and the managing of the Learning Management System to assure compliance with corporate policies and regulatory agencies. 
You will ensure employees meet minimum cGMP training requirements, and contribute to employee effectiveness, productivity, and variance reduction.

You will:

  • Manage training department activities and provide leadership and guidance to Site Trainers on training issues. 
  • Evaluate the training status of the company as it affects operator/employee effectiveness, productivity, and deviation reduction. 
  • Establish the needs of the company, prioritize those needs, and assign responsibilities to the Site Trainers. Approve the Training Plan, all legally mandated training, and ensure refresher training is conducted on at least an annual basis.
  • Develop, interpret, implement, and communicate to site management corporate training policies as part of the TEVA Training Team. 
  • Manage the implementation of corporate/global training policies and initiatives at the Teva Irvine site and other Teva Irvine subsidiaries. 
  • Provide guidance and support to site management on the design, selection, and implementation of systems/programs as they relate to training.
  • Approve the design, development and implementation of comprehensive, competency-based training programs developed by the Site Trainers. Review and approve new and existing training programs and modules.
  • Manage the company wide Learning Management System.  Implement all new functionality, Computer Based Training Programs, and new products/services based on Corporate Training Initiatives.  Ensure that all records are maintained as required.
  • Approve the sourcing of training aids and materials in support of departmental, company-wide, and corporate training goals.
  • Represent the company and promote the companys position on training programs, systems, and records during formal inspections by the federal and state FDA, international regulatory agencies, and contract customers.
  • Administer the Training department budget and manage expenses to the budget plan.
  • Stay abreast of industry and affiliated publications, memberships, and technologies to ensure organizational goals are met.
  • Periodic collection, review, and evaluation of policies, programs, and metrics to ensure alignment of training and cGMP strategies with business needs.
  • During Internal and External Audits, support any state, federal, or international regulatory agency inspections, along with Audits from Contract Customers and Internal Audit preparedness.
  • Bachelors degree in a related field, e.g., Science, Engineering, Education, or Human Resources preferred.
  • 7 years in training required. Experience in administration of learning management systems preferred.
  • 2+ years supervisory experience required.
  • Pharmaceutical experience strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements, such as 21 CFR 210 & 211 preferred.
  • Member of professional organization in a related field, e.g., Training, Organizational Development, Education, or Human Resources preferred.
  • Experience with public speaking in a small to large group setting (5 to 200).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills required.
  • Strong organizational and technical writing skills required.
  • Excellent program design and curriculum development skills required.
  • Computer literacy required, including Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Access.
  • Problem solving / OPEX preferred.
