As part of our Policy, Strategy and Leadership team, youll provide strategic oversight, manage operations, and develop policies for all aspects of the Human Resources team.

As a Director, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:

Will support the Global L&D Leader to establish preparations and engagement for broader contributions to the wider global HC community, including updates to Strategy Council HC Leaders meetings and other L&D community meetings. Out of hours flexibility is required as this role services the Network and virtual meetings & calls may need to be scheduled considering all the worlds time zones. Must be willing to travel. This global role that will require some travel across the Network approx 30%.

Demonstrates thought leader-level abilities with, and/or a proven record of success directing efforts in the following areas:

  • Establishing operational responsibility for all L&D business services driving and managing them accordingly;
  • Planning and driving the support of each of the services;
  • Proactively managing and engaging with stakeholders by providing reporting;
  • Managing and escalating issues through to conclusion;
  • Understanding territory plans that might affect or impact the provision of services;
  • Managing and supporting a team of 15 across the different services;
  • Working side by side with PwC technology on the provision of the services and the projects that run within each of them;
  • Driving budget responsibility;
  • Managing the business processes and practices in support of each of the services;
  • Working with Directors and other Senior Managers to plan for the most effective use of each service and its operational aims and objectives;
  • Developing and maintaining long term relationships with key clients/stakeholders;
  • Driving line management of a senior managers and managers;
  • Exhibiting excellent organisational skills by being able to plan, monitor and prioritise;
  • Showcasing a proven track record of generating organisational and / or process efficiencies;
  • Exhibiting agility in responding to shifting priorities including ability to identify business issues and potential risks;
  • Showcasing leadership skills including being able to manage through operational crisis and hands on approach to getting things done;
  • Establishing the ability to make decisions and solve problems in a fast moving environment;
  • Highlighting attention to detail and written and oral communication skills including when working in a virtual environment and with senior levels within the network;
  • Remaining proactive and self-motivated;
  • Establishing a proven ability to work virtually;
  • Understanding importance of global acumen;
  • Being collaborative and a team player;
  • Understanding of Learning and the systems that run and support the delivery of it throughout the network;
  • Exhibiting advanced Learning Technology background;
  • Establishing ability to build and maintain good relationships;
  • Implementing client handling skills - interpersonal skills, influencing skills and networking;
  • Exhibiting analytical skills to effectively identify issues and potential risks;
  • Maintaining the ability to work as part of a virtual team and lead a virtual team;
  • Building and maintaining virtual relationships and sense of community; and,
  • Keeping commercial aspects continually in mind when taking actions or making decisions.
