SBV is looking for an intern with experience and knowledge of marketing and social media skills to architect and enhance Sustainable Business Ventures’ social media presence, including interacting with stakeholders, promoting brand-focused interactive and engaging content.
1. Create marketing and social media campaigns and strategies
2. Ensure brand consistency in marketing and social media messages
3. Grow and expand SBV social media presence into new social media platforms, plus increases presence on existing platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram
4. Create and distribute engaging written or graphic content in the form of e-newsletters, web page and blog content, or social media messages
SBV has been awarded a USDA Grant to establish “entrepreneurial communities” based on the book Energizing Entrepreneurial Communities published by the Center for Rural Entrepreneurship. SBV is focusing on 8 eastern KY counties and 8 west KY counties.
We are looking for someone very comfortable on the phone and can help us connect with businesses to join the no cost SBV Entrepreneur Network which uses a state-of-the-art digital platform that connects entrepreneurs to each other, to mentors, investors, technical service providers, educational resources, professional trainers, and consultants to start and grow businesses. The network provides training videos, webinars and valuable content that benefit small business owners, social enterprises, and nonprofits. There are a variety of subcommunities including Agriculture, Economic Development, International Trade, Rural Business, Minority & Women Owned Business, Nonprofit, and Social Enterprises.
Due to the pandemic, many businesses are failing and challenges in rural communities can be difficult. Many businesses have closed and many will not survive. We want help these business owners recover or pivot to a new path. Our entrepreneur network will have technical service providers and other organizations that can help.
