Job Description
Embark on a future with an international pharmaceuticals company, contributing your creative energy to high-impact projects from the moment you arrive through the course of this 14-week experience. You will take part in meaningful work and real-life projects that will help you grow both professionally and personally throughout the program.
Location: Salt Lake City, Utah
Length: 14 weeks (May10th through August 13th)
Schedule: You must be available to work a 40-hour work week for 14 weeks summer 2021
Pay: $17.00/hour
Tasks & Responsibilities:
During the 14 week program, you will gain in-depth insights into the Product Development department.
Supported by a mentor and experienced colleagues, you will be directly involved in our daily business and be assigned tasks within diverse projects.
You will also play an important role in the development of concepts and initiatives within the Formulation Development business unit.
The Intern will be a part of the Formulation Development team contributing to development and optimization of formulations for generic drug products and investigational drug products. The primary job responsibilities will be:
o Supporting topical and transdermal formulation screening studies.
o Preparing various formulations as per study design.
o Performing physicochemical analyses of formulations and tabulating data.
o Performing and supporting ln vitro skin permeation studies.
o Performing general laboratory tasks and maintaining the formulation lab.
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate programs of study concentrated in chemistry, biomedical, biology, and other related degree programs.
Proficient computer skills, excellent organizational and communication skills, ability to follow instructions, good record keeping and detail oriented self-starter, and experience with general chemistry lab techniques.
