Position Description:
Position Purpose:

The Manager of Finance will provide total financial leadership, direction, and analysis to the new Customer Experience team. The Customer Experience organization oversees vision, design, and development of new and innovative solutions to drive a seamless experience for our customers in stores, online or on their mobile devices. As a member of the new strategic leadership team for the function, the leader of Finance will play a key role in driving functional metrics, controlling costs, and work closely with finance leadership to achieve business goals and create shareholder value.

The ideal candidate is able to thrive in a rapidly changing, dynamic environment and leverage foundational business, technology, and finance knowledge to identify opportunities, take ownership, collaborate with teammates, develop solutions, and present strategies to leadership.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: (can change this section)

  • Partnering with Customer Experience leadership to deliver actionable financial analysis, insights, and recommendations on key investment decisions
  • Leading financial reporting, forecasting, and planning for the function, partnering to continuously improve processes for agility, transparency, and value
  • Performing detailed analysis of financial data to develop and implement solutions that improve understanding of costs and performance, driving alignment and accountability
  • Developing presentations for all levels of the organization to articulate strategies and lead change management activitiesMajor Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:
    • Strategic Analysis/Problem Solving - Works to fully understand business; identify and implement process and organizational improvements. Plans and ensures execution of department objectives. Participates in preparation of the annual budget, reviews monthly expenditures and ensures that budgetary goals are met. Reviews monthly metrics to ensure goals are met.
    • Conduct financial planning for function and make appropriate recommendations.
    • Leads, plans, and coordinates work teams in an efficient manner to effectively perform any financial function and activity; utilizes metrics to track performance and manage workload. Ensures operational processes and procedures are compliant and consist with established policies.
    • Drive key functional financial metrics.
    • Project Management- Develops and supports a strategic alliance with business partners. Participates in cross-functional activities focused on solving business issues and enhancing our competitive advantage. Facilitates cross-functional communication with other areas of the business including but not limited to Finance, Human Resources, Real Estate, Operations, and Information Systems.Nature and Scope:
      Typically reports to a Director level
      This position has no direct reports.

      Environmental Job Requirements:
      Environment: Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
      Travel: Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.
