FACILITIES PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN

13 Month Term

Emergent BioSolutions is currently seeking a Facilities Production Technician for our Winnipeg site. The successful candidate will have a high school diploma (or equivalent education). Manufacturing experience or food industry experience would be considered highly beneficial. Must have the ability to follow written and oral instruction and have strong attention to detail. In addition, this individual will possess a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence and innovation.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Support the manufacturing of pharmaceutical products according to the production schedule.

Essential Functions

• Clean and sanitize equipment as required
• Clean the manufacturing and filling areas when required
• Perform water sampling and EM sampling
• Maintain the inventory of consumables in the cleanrooms
• Follow all written procedures according to GMP standards
• Assists in process activities with technicians when required
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Assist with competency assessments and training
• Communicate with production and QC supervisors to schedule cleaning and sampling activities
• Works with other production staff and company departments to ensure production schedule is maintained to the best of their ability

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS: 

• A high school diploma or equivalent level of education is required
• Manufacturing experience is not necessary, but would be considered an asset
• Previous experience in the food and/or fast food industry would be considered highly beneficial
• Ability to follow written and oral instruction and a strong attention to detail
• Demonstrate good work ethic and ability to work alone or in a group setting
• Flexibility to adapt to and perform shift work

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Citizenship/Permanent Resident or Valid Work Permit.
• Successful Completion of a Criminal Record Check.
• Medical assessment required
