Job Summary | This position will work as a team leader for 1-5 employees & will complete all duties of an Electronic Tech I & II. Primary responsibilities for this position include: coordinate job site responsibilities, make decisions, buy parts and communicate problems to supervisors; install/inspect remote data gathering panels, fire alarms, security alarms, conduit wiring, etc.; work on computer systems and have extensive circuit theory knowledge; design, install, operate and maintain complex systems; work with fire marshal, may do fire alarm inspections if state certified; prepare cost estimates for projects; repair electronic circuit boards; repair associated components of Energy Management Systems, self-contained emergency lights, t.v.‘s, recorders, intercom systems, coaches’ headsets, etc.; read volt meter and must understand technical writing; assist with designs/modifications/upgrades; work with engineers; work on life/safety projects/panels; work on expansion/renovation projects; prepare cost estimates for larger projects; maintain records, drawings, and schematics for systems; read/prepare blueprints and follow technical manuals; order supplies and keep records of equipment & inventory; check on customers to ensure customer satisfaction; coordinate with customers/departments/shops; act as Supervisor when needed. Must be available for emergency call backs and work overtime when required. Position may require some shift work. Must be willing to take on additional responsibilities as assigned. This position will require working from ladders/manholes. Driver’s license is strongly preferred.
