Physical Requirements
The essential job functions of this position require you to: provide leadership and resource management; communicate and build strategic working relationships with staff and other individuals from diverse backgrounds; abide by University guidelines; maintain confidentiality; prioritize and manage work effectively; work within a fact paced, time sensitive project; positively represent the University; perform work in a sedentary position; report to meetings at different locations both on campus and off campus; travel outside the local area for training; and work successfully with a team and independently.
Shift
The expectation is primarily day shift Monday through Friday, however as an exempt-level position, additional hours will be required as needed to perform job duties.
Job Summary
The EHR Team Manager will be responsible for the implementation of the Training team’s scope of responsibility within the Electronic Health Record project for the University of Kentucky HealthCare enterprise. The Training Team Manager will audit training materials, ensuring standards are met within individual application team and align with standards across all application teams. Responsible for ensuring training environment is up to date and in sync with production and test environments and refresh schedule. The Team Manager will be accountable for managing the team’s progress to plan. The Team Manager will work with project leadership and team to develop and maintain specific work plans and task lists, as well as monitor progress of relevant workflow analysis, design, and configuration schedules. This role will execute a quality management plan tailored to the specific area of responsibility. This role will act as the primary contact and coordinator for the specific area of expertise regarding questions and issues. The Team Manager will lead weekly team meetings, manage analysts, and conduct performance evaluations. The Manager will document team status, issues, and risks. This position requires knowledge of vendors as well as confidentiality and privacy guidelines. Team Managers must remain aware of and follow all federal and state regulations as well as UKHC policies. The Team Manager will collaborate with the business, project leadership, and other teams to ensure the design, build, and activation is successful and meets the needs of the business.

Preferred Education/Experience
Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Business Administration, or health care preferred. Health care experience in electronic health records preferred. Leadership experience in health care or information technology preferred.
