Physical Requirements
The physical requirements of this position include: lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects up to 50lbs; standing or walking with objects up to 10lbs; regular sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time with repetitive motions (such as typing); occasional loud noises, combative/violent people, cuts/ punctures, exposure to hazardous chemicals/fumes and blood borne/airborne pathogens, and intermittent (10-50% of the time) job-related travel.
Shift
Primarily Days 8am-5pm Monday-Friday. May include variable hours as needed; including weekend and holiday.
Job Summary
This position will oversee and support a comprehensive, coordinated system of specialty pharmacy and infusion care which will increase patient access and retention in comprehensive, culturally competent, and coordinated health care. This position will work in collaboration with the multidisciplinary health team for the specialty pharmacy and infusion program and pharmacy leadership to plan, develop, implement, and evaluate pharmacy services. The position will foster professional growth of staff members, promote human diversity, and foster a culture of continuous quality improvement and continually meet standards set forth by the enterprise. Through these and related activities, this individual promotes a culture of optimal quality education, management, improvement, and relations across every level of the enterprise. The position will also serve as the medical director for Gill and Wellington Infusion and oversee patient care in specialty pharmacy infusion clinics. Lastly, this individual ensures compliance with University of Kentucky policies and procedures; federal, state, and local regulations; contractual obligations; and, including, but not limited to ACHC, URAC, and Joint Commission accreditation standards.
