As the **Director of Strategy** , you will partner with leadership to drive strategic planning, processes, and initiatives in our transformation to bring our new brand vision to life for our customers. You will be the thought leader for all of our emerging customer strategies or growth market plans across retail (i.e., print and marketing, digital, products, services). Your customer-centric mindset, strategic focus, vision for new paths, and cross-functional collaboration will help keep our transformation moving forward.



As part of the executive level meetings, you will get to see all aspects of how we go to market from merchandising and forecasting to marketing and operations. **Manage transformation strategy projects.**



+ Provide strategic insight and thought leadership on corporate strategy and initiatives. Listen and see the insights, business needs, project plans to help connect the dots and act as an accelerator

+ Lead specific corporate and business initiatives. Manage topics, prioritization, research (i.e., marketplace, customer insights), communication plan for strategic initiatives working team (Pyramid Block meeting)

+ Work with outside consultants on process management of strategy work



**Be the Chief of Staff for the Chief Marketing and Merchandising Officer (CMMO).**



+ Manage daily Merchandising and Marketing leadership team meeting prioritizing topics and attendees, deciding what decisions and conversations need to happen to influence the strategy, and when to keep the transformation momentum

+ Support CMMO with day-to-day management of revenue-driving team



**Lead internal strategic communications.**



+ Map out key meetings, agendas, and goals to line up with go to market and strategic roll outs. Discern the appropriate forums (field leadership meetings, senior leadership staff, Org wide townhalls) to get the right message to the right audience at the right time and work topics into the process

+ Manage the content of strategic initiative communications to support change management, cultural beliefs, and practical activations what are the right messages, key bits of insight and data, tone, etc.

+ Create content that is simple, clear, with written and graphical ways to connect to the audience



**Manage strategy events and meetings for the Executive and Senior Leadership teams.**



+ Manage, coordinate, create materials, facilitate the long-range planning (5-year Plan) and other strategic meetings with senior leadership

+ Manage the process, content, and tone of major strategic communications events like to company-wide annual events that reinforces the cultural evolution needed for transformation

+ Partner with leadership to manage the process, content, message, and logistics for Vendor events



**Qualifications**

**Essential Skills and Experience:**



+ BA/BS, Masters preferred

+ 6+ years relevant experience, preferably with a consulting or corporate strategy function

+ Experience with Retail or Consumer Products or Services related industries with ability to appreciate retail teams and environment

+ Experience in omni business; Passion for innovation and transformation

+ Demonstrated success in leading strategic initiatives from thought and research to execution

+ Ability to interact and influence at all levels, from store teams to CEO

+ Expertise in working across functions and levels, strong proactive communicator, and proficient organization/program management/cross-team alignment skills

+ Creating PowerPoints to tell the story in a simple, clear, and influential way
