Job Description

Director, Environment, Social & Governance (ESG) & Brand, North America

This person will be responsible for leading s Environment, Social & Governance (ESG) across North America (NA) and reports to the head of North America Communications and Brand with matrixed reporting into the Global head of ESG. The role will lead activities both internally with our large employee base. While focused on NA, this role will be an extended part of a global team and the individual is required to share thinking and best practices, especially regarding the use of softer skills, in motivating an organization behind ESG with colleagues in Europe and International Markets while supporting and augmenting the business goals in the region. Specifically:

  •     Lead and support the embedding of ESG strategy across Teva North America (NA)
  •     lead the NA roll out and implementation of NA Access Program 
  •     Lead the NA roll out of Teva volunteering framework
  •     Lead NA ESG internal and external communications
  •     Lead NA ESG related I&D implementation/Communications 
  •     Coordinate ESG NA benchmarking 
  •     Coordinate ESG NA governance
  •     Coordinate and collaborate on roll out/follow up of Brand in US/Canada (in partnership with global team and NA Communications)


Essential requirements/ Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  •     College degree in related area of expertise
  •     5- 10 years experience in ESG including in the healthcare sector
  •     Strong capability to drive internal and external stakeholders and partnerships
  •     Structured, complex thinking and analytical skills
  •     Collaborate with NA Communications Team and global counterparts seamlessly
  •     Extended experience in long term strategic planning, complex project management, in prioritizing and managing multiple tasks
  •     Ability to translate business objectives and requirements into effective Internal Engagement strategies
  •     Excellent oral and written communication skills in English (other languages appreciated) 
  •     Great creative ability and understanding of media channels; Ability to work on tight schedules while maintaining a high-level deliverables
  •     Plan develop and execute communication plans
  •     Willingness to travel <10%

Tasks and responsibilities

  •     Coordinate and incorporate ESG work into Teva NA relevant functions leveraging ESG governance structure
  •     Coordinate and facilitate successful launch of NA/US-based access initiative
  •     Integrate key communications in support of regional reputation Initiative
  •     Inclusion & Diversity Strategy implementation (in support of and alignment with HR)
  •     Hands-on Volunteering - Launch global framework ; Pilot digital platform expand globally and establish community level program  approach
  •     Assess and apply ESG benchmarking to NA in coordination with ESG access and Reporting lead and other Teva SME on a regular basis
  •     ESG Internal/external communications and campaigns to raise awareness and improve employee engagement and reputation In alignment and support of Teva Global ESG , Teva communication, digital and brand teams
  •     Coordinate NA ESG governance
