Job Description

The Director, FP&A is responsible for providing FP&A support to the NA Specialty group. The position is located in Parsippany, NJ. The Director will provide both financial leadership and tactical oversight to ensure that the business meets its goals. The Director oversees the budgeting and forecasting process and performance reporting and analysis for the group and partners with the Marketing leads and their direct reports for alignment and consistency. In addition, this role requires significant cross-functional collaboration with other Finance groups, and business units in order to maximize the business units contribution. This position reports directly to the Sr. Director NA Finance who will be located in Parsippany, NJ.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Key contributor to business decisions by providing financial guidance and overall business support.
  • Finance voice for the team.
  • Partner with the business to drive value in areas such as ROI analysis of marketing spend, sales force effectiveness, etc.
  • Partner with the business finance teams to create alignment on activities as well as centralize reporting as appropriate.
  • Consult with accounting on technical accounting issues and questions. Regular communication to ensure alignment on recording of activities for the groups given the complexity.
  • Negotiate with the business unit management and commercial operations management teams to achieve alignment on activities, budget, etc.
  • Manage the preparation of the forecast and budget as well as responsible for assessing the financial results and actual versus forecasted/budgeted activity. On a quarterly basis this includes completing corporate requirements such as the quarterly presentation to CEO.
  • Participate in Americas and Global Finance initiatives
Qualifications

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting (Or Related work experience)
  • MBA or CPA Preferred
  • 10 years minimum experience in FP&A in the pharmaceutical industry?
  • Knowledge of Hyperion Planning and Oracle a plus
