The Data Scientist job family provides technical leadership in the field of big data and analytics. The job family is responsible for working with and understanding various elements of data both internal and external to ADP and its clients. It is focused on the exploration of usage patterns and profiling data from multiple sources. Roles in the Data Scientist job family will assist in architectural mapping to a conforming model, work with business groups to help build that model, and evolve to assist in governing the model.

 

Critical partners to product management and development to understand existing data, and work towards cleansing and/or conforming data. Key drivers of new standard calculations; based on knowledge and identification of business logic behind HR calculations. Identifies relationships and analyze critical factors for use in predictive modeling. Will help influence and guide decisions on BI objects to build based on the subject matter expertise. Will help establish and apply data visualization best practices, and help dictate standards for the delivery of information.

 

The Data Scientists job family must have knowledge of new and legacy technologies, have knowledge of relevant platforms and environments, and be familiar with business process, functions and data within domain to provide innovative, insightful, and secure data and analytic solutions.

 

The Data Analytics Manager will be responsible for delivering ad-hoc analytics in addition to daily, weekly, and monthly reporting and analyses supporting the Wisely payments business at ADP. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter who is able to deliver high quality work within tight deadlines. The candidate should have a passion for data and supplying their colleagues with valuable insights. The candidate should be able to be given certain focus areas or projects and use technical skills and creative approaches to solve unique problems. This role also requires learning overall business and financial operations to provide relevant metrics and recommendations.

 

Job Responsibilities
* Define and develop analytical needs for the Wisely business
* Perform in-depth analysis and qualitatively explain findings to internal stakeholders
* Create dashboards and analysis for internal stakeholders to drive efficiency and uncover opportunities
* Build dynamic and rich dashboards using out-of-box features, customizations, and visualizations
* Perform large-scale data analysis to inform business decisions
* Identify actionable insights, suggest recommendations and influence direction of the business by effectively communicating findings
* Establish strong, supportive, effective, and value-added relationship with cross-functional internal stakeholders and business partner
* Collaborate with various teams to gather necessary data to effectively address business needs and improve processes

Job Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in a quantitative, technical, or financial discipline required.
* Masters in similar field is a plus.
* Three (3) to five (5) years' experience in a business intelligence / analytics role (preferable in payments, fintech or banking).
* Proficiency writing SQL and working with large data sets.
* Experience developing dashboards using business intelligence or reporting tools such as Tableau.
* Strong expertise utilizing advanced functions in spreadsheet (Excel), database (Access) and data extraction (query) software.
* Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
* Must be able to communicate ideas effectively and concisely to all levels of Management.
* Ability to define, extract, create queries and analyze data
* Solid experience with concepts of customer segmentation, root cause/variance analysis, and segmentation.
* Must be able to critically evaluate business problems/requirements and translate into analytical exercises
* Ability to identify actionable insights from transactional data.
* Proactive work style used to consistently communicate project status, issues and completion plans.
* Strong problem-solving skills (someone who will dig deep to find answers).
