Job Summary | UK Healthcare is seeking an experienced Cytotechnologist. This position will perform laboratory procedures under the direction of the Cytopathology Supervisor. Must successfully meet required performance standards of competency and proficiency testing. Perform cytology screening procedures with accuracy. Have similar pick-up rates for abnormalities and error rates do not exceed thresholds. Accurately use CoPath Plus computer system to record all procedures that are performed. Record neatly and legibly all documentation that is required to be written as opposed to computer entry. Is able to remain calm in high-pressure situations and make quick decisions. Change priorities as emergency situations arise. Keep up to date on all new procedures and policy changes in the Cytology procedure manual. Perform or assist with projects or duties as assigned and approved by supervisor and/or director. |
