Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Accounts Receivable Manager is responsible for overseeing the assessment of credit risk, establishing credit limits, and financial analysis of our customers. This position will be collaborating with the Collections, Sales, Contracts, Customer Service, Legal and Finance teams to proactively address credit concerns, influence business decisions, and offer creative solutions to reduce exposure while striving for customer growth opportunities.

ESSENTIAL AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

All areas of responsibility listed below are essential to the satisfactory performance of this position by any incumbents with reasonable accommodation if necessary. Any non-essential functions are assumed to be included in other related duties or assignments.

  • Establish & review credit limits on new & existing customers.
  • Analyze and present customer financial information from various data sources
  • Conduct quarterly portfolio reviews on credit limits exceeding $500K and share with CFO
  • File UCC liens as required
  • Manage credit hold release decisions in AS400 within delegation of authority
  • Proactively collaborate with each sales division to give visibility to exposure, minimize bad debt loss, and partner to drive revenue opportunities
  • Maintain SOX Compliance
  • Identify and recommend process improvements
  • Mentor credit team members
  • Other projects and duties as assigned
Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered.

Education/Certification/Experience:

  • Minimum of 7 years of related experience in Order to Cash, with at least 5 years in Credit and 2 years in a supervisory capacity
  • Bachelors degree required.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Comprehensive knowledge Financial Statement Analysis (Balance Sheet/Income Statement/Cash Flow Statement)
  • Solid Understanding of Risk Metrics and Financial Ratios
  • Understanding of Securitization Documents (UCCs/Letters of Credit/Notes)
  • Knowledge of JDE/SAP and AS400 preferred
  • Experience with various credit reporting agencies (D&B/Thomson Reuters)
  • Wholesale distribution experience
  • Active participant in industry groups NACM/CRF/CMA
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Advanced Understanding of Excel (Vlookup/Pivot Tables)

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Visit customers domestically as required to support business needs
