Provide leadership, development and mentoring to six direct reports and more than 50 indirect reports to accomplish unit objectives.

The University of Kentucky is in a unique position to fill two key financial leadership roles, Treasurer and Controller, at the same time. We aim to find candidates who can help us maintain our strong financial standing and execute our bold path forward we have set out to achieve.

Earlier this year, both Moodys and Standard & Poors reaffirmed our Universitys bond rating and strong financial outlook. Standard & Poors said our University has a very strong enterprise and financial profile, and called out our management and governance as an example of best in class with a rigorous and conservative budget process. Likewise, Moodys noted our steady enrollment and tuition revenue, as well as increasing reserve funds and solid operating cash flow.

We have attained this sound financial footing in conjunction with our initiative called Our Path Forward. This initiative ensures we can continue to educate our students and serve the Commonwealth. The universitys 2019-2020 budget included: tuition decreases for some students, merit pay increases for staff and faculty for the seventh year in a row, and investments in online education and our physical campus. In addition we continue to identify new revenue generating opportunities. All these efforts support the universitys priorities to continue ensuring affordable access to an outstanding education, providing competitive compensation for faculty and staff; and investing strategically in our research and service missions.

Welcoming a new Treasurer and Controller to our University community allows us to build on these successes.

Located in the vibrant city of Lexington, the University of Kentucky is a public, land-grant institution that plays a critical leadership role in promoting diversity, inclusion, economic development, and human well-being. The campus is home to approximately 30,000 students, 3,000 faculty, and 15,000 staff. The University is uniquely positioned, with a major academic health center and a full spectrum of academic colleges and professional schools on one campus.

This search is being led by UKs internal Executive Search Team. For more information about this position, or the Treasurer position, please contact Mary Beth Bracken at 859-257-3348 or via email at marybeth.bracken@uky.edu.
