Position Description:
POSITION PURPOSE
The Content Strategy Manager will develop and implement effective content marketing strategies, plans, and campaigns, as well as manage day-to-day activities, to increase audience engagement and brand affinity across channels in the customer experience.
This position is responsible for curating and writing effective strategy briefs that will engage customers throughout their customer journey. The role is also responsible for working across all channels to manage development, production efficiency, publishing and deployment coordination across channels in alignment with research, data and analytics from UX, CX and CI.
The professional who best fits this position is passionate about customer success, engagement and loyalty and is determined to deliver results through continuous improvement of our customers all around experience. To be successful, this professional must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly matrixed environment at a global level and collaborating with large cross-functional teams across the organization.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • 35% - Develop, implement, and optimize content initiatives and marketing campaigns to effectively engage audiences and build brand affinity.
  • 25% - Develop and manage editorial calendar and content marketing activities in coordination with content strategists in singular practices ie; UX, SEO, Story Lab.
  • 10% - Optimize usage of existing content and develop new content for campaigns and engagement initiatives for owned, earned and paid media across our customer experience journey. Work with marketing technology team to develop a content repository and tagging schema to support dynamic content and real-time personalization.
  • 10% - Determine and drive the development of the best content types (text, visuals, video) to serve to the customer based on need and channel.
  • 10% - Leverage customer research, personas, journey maps, test and learn, and data insights to develop and optimize strategic content and engagement campaigns.
  • 10% - Report on KPIs and success metrics.
NATURE AND SCOPE
This position reports to the Sr Manager Broadcast.

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

Environment:
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Travel:
Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.


ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Additional Minimum Qualifications:

Education Required:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Years of Relevant Work Experience: 5 years

Physical Requirements:
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in design of personalized content, content-as-a-service, and multichannel/Omni-channel materials desired
  • 5 or more years of professional experience in developing, managing, editing with a minimum of 3 years in an online platform
  • 2-3 years experience in implementing social media and content marketing strategy and campaigns, both organic and paid
  • Strong organization and analytical thinking skills, with ability to translate complex concepts into simple terms
  • Experience leading content initiatives from ideation through implementation
  • Experience working in an agile, customer-centric design process
  • Experience with SEO, taxonomy design and information architecture
  • Strong relationship building and networking skills
