Teva is searching for a Component Prep I to join our team in Irvine, CA! The Component Prep I supports production by performing component and equipment washing, assembly and sterilization for use in the manufacture of sterile injectable products.
This position will work either 2nd shift or 3rd shift.
Candidates must be flexible as to shift and days of the week.
Job Responsibilities:
Process required supplies of stoppers and over seals. Clean, assemble and inspect equipment for filling, including surge tanks, pumps, manifolds, nozzles, and associated tubing and fittings. Assemble equipment to specific drawings for specific Filling lines. Perform equipment rinse water testing utilizing a Conductivity Meter.
Loads equipment into the appropriate washers according to the validated loading instructions and operates the washing equipment. Load autoclaves according to validated loading patterns. Operate and monitor the sterilization cycles to ensure they meet the program parameters.
Complete documentation, status labeling and logbooks. Review documentation for accuracy and completeness. Troubleshoots problems in specified areas, as required.
Prepare and integrity test all filters used in production.
Perform cleaning of classified and CNC areas in compliance with SOPs. Prepare cleaning solutions and must be able to accomplish all daily, weekly, monthly and restoration activities for ISO Class 7 and CNC areas.
Properly dispose of hazardous waste.
Certified to surface sanitize/sterilize equipment, supplies and tools required for class 5 & 6 use. Passivate equipment, as required. Maintain dedicated equipment program, ensure equipment inventory is accurate and etched appropriately.
Verifies and maintains a record of material that moves through Component Preparation. Stock gowning materials for Class 7 clean room areas, as required.
Required to wear clean room, class 7 gowning, consisting of coveralls, hair cover, gloves, masks, goggles, boots and safety shoes.
Ensures components and equipment are prepared in accordance with company SOP, cGMP, and Quality Standards.
Requirements:
High school education or GED equivalent experience.
Minimum of 1 year of related production experience.
Ability to read and write English, and follow written and oral instructions.
Knowledge and understanding of basic math skills.
Ability to comprehend machinery processes and troubleshoot problems as they occur.
Ability to organize numerous tasks into prioritized sequences.
Some college preferred.
Previous pharmaceutical experience preferred.
