    The primary purpose of this position is to support company initiatives, launches and programs through relevant and engaging content and storytelling that inspires, educates and/or motivates associates to deliver on the company's goals and objectives. This position develops engaging content for the associate website, the associate and supplier e-newsletters, meetings and presentations, and collaborates with internal business partners to develop and implement communications strategies that further the company's business objectives. The person in this position also partners with external communications to keep our leadership team informed about important news and develop consistent communications for both internal and external stakeholders. The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in observance of Rite Aid’s brand and strategy and adhere to our core values and service attributes.


    The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:

    • Manage all content and operations for the associate website, including writing, editing, posting, site updates, quarterly reports while integrating relevant and accurate information from various company and external sources, consistent with business objectives and the brand.
    • Write and/or edit various associate communications as needed, including articles for the associate e-newsletter, leadership speeches/messages, and specific corporate messages with a thorough understanding of the subject matter, gathered through interviews, research and other means.
    • Support media relations and external communications as needed.
    • Act as editor of the Corporate Daily News Summary as requested.
    • Manage the content and design of the quarterly supplier electronic newsletter; collaborate with category management and marketing leaders to develop content for this publication; manage the submission of the articles and the approval process.

    Experience / Requirements

    • Three (3) years' of experience in Mass Communications, Journalism, Writing or a related field required.
    • One (1) year of experience in Web content development pred.


    • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) Mass Communications, Journalism or a related field required.
    • Or equivalent combination of education and experience
