Job Description

Primary purpose and function of this position

The Clinical Science and Patient Liaison will deliver appropriate clinical information to support appropriate use of Teva products in a patient focused manner.  The Clinical Science and Patient Liaison will maintain expertise in disease state management and treatment landscape of area(s) serviced. The Clinical Science and Patient Liaison will assist HCPs in clinical management of the patients journey from diagnosis through successful management of the disease process via appropriate education of treatment with Teva products. This includes education and support surrounding how to have efficient and effective diagnosis, treatment & product transition conversations with their patients and how to best support patient expectations surrounding new and existing Teva treatments.  Additionally, the CSL will work actively to support their HCPs implementing active patient compliance and adherence programs for their patients as while also increasing their HCPs scientific knowledge and disease state awareness and understanding.

The Clinical Science and Patient Liaison will also provide point-of-service support with key healthcare providers, clinics, infusion centers, and patients within a large specified regional geography.  The goal is to support the patient journey to product after the prescription is written, coordinate and provide product training, educate on patient access, reimbursement and ensure understanding Teva Support Solutions offerings.   


This position will cover an assigned region. The ideal candidate would live near a major metropolitan area with an international airport within the region.  Travel required:  weekly overnight travel (60%-75%)

Major duties and responsibilities


Serve as regional field point for clinical science and patient liaison with target physician offices and infusion accounts within a defined geographic territory.  Conduct total office call and/or in-service sessions to educate physicians, nurses, infusion centers, and office staff.

  • Act as a clinical and patient management resource and provide information pertaining to specified disease states, Teva treatments, and education surrounding literature on how to manage patients effectively.
  • Develop clinical partnerships with HCPs and other community healthcare professionals and diverse healthcare decision makers to ensure the safe and effective use of Teva marketed products.
  • Deliver disease education programs and product information within assigned therapeutic area; advocates for balanced evidence-based differentiation and changes in medical practice, including guideline implementation.
  • Keeps current with published literature in their therapeutic area of work.
  • Provide support for therapy choice after the prescription is written through therapeutic, product, and reimbursement education in the HCP office and infusion center/site of care.
  • Train and educate clinical and medical staff Teva product including proper use, handling, and administration
  • Liaise with HCPs and Teva patient services on next steps with patients for access to therapy.  Educate around all Teva offerings for patient access.
  • Assist Teva Support Solutions and prescribing HCP office with alternative

Education with valid clinical license

  • Education and Licensure as a Clinical Practitioner Including but not limited to:  Nurses - RN, BSN, Nurse Practitioner, Doctorate of Nursing; Physician Assistants; Pharmacist/Clinical Pharmacist.  Clinical experience must include at least 5 years of direct patient care experience.

Education preferred

  • Higher level education, Masters or Higher in chosen discipline

Specific type of experience required

  • Successful history within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Proven ability to be successful in roles that require high percentages of overnight travel
  • Significant Experience in role with similar duties and responsibilities as listed above
