Job Summary | As Kentucky’s only National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center, the UK Markey Cancer Center is equipped to deliver leading-edge cancer care and engage in groundbreaking research. The Markey Cancer Center is committed to reducing cancer mortality and the burden of disease through comprehensive programs and collaborations in cancer research, treatment and education. Through the Markey Cancer Center Research Network (MCCRN), we bring access to important research studies into the communities we serve. The MCCRN Clinical Research Project Manager will oversee, guide the research activities conducted at external partner facilities located throughout Kentucky and surrounding Appalachia. The MCCRN Clinical Research Project Manager oversees and administrates the performance of portfolio and sites for the lifecycle of multicenter research studies, including therapeutic and non-therapeutic trials. Position duties include -research project management, serving as a resource to investigative teams, training, site visits, regulatory oversight, and network operations. The MCCRN Clinical Research Project Manager ensures quality services to MCCRN sites and UK, MCC faculty and staff. Duties require application of knowledge of CFR, ICH, SOPs as well as professional techniques of research professionals, project management to navigate and manage the complexities of multicenter oncology clinical research studies. Under Specific Request 1 – Attach a copy of a Certification of a current nationally recognized credential in research or project management. |
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities | Microsoft Professional programs, including Access, Excel, Project, Planner, OneNote, Visio, research databases, HIPAA, HSP, web, data entry. |
