**Position Summary**



Responsible for effective provisioning, operation, and maintenance of the organizations property and liability claims and litigation programs, including the self-administered claims program. Implements claims policies and procedures developed by Risk Management to ensure consistent administration and documentation of the organizations property and liability programs by both internal and external partners. Ensures utilization of the departments Risk Management Information System, to the fullest extent possible for third party, customer and property incidents; as well as the organizations subrogation and salvage programs. Provides support to internal partners in the training, execution and success of the organizations automobile, general liability and property programs.



**Responsibilities:**



+ Execute claims-related processes and workflows that maximize efficiency and maintain high levels of end-user experience.

+ Build and maintain relationships with claims adjusters, outside legal counsel and other claims related partners.

+ Daily oversight of third-party claims administrator to ensure appropriate handling of auto, liability and subrogation claims.

+ Oversight of litigation processes to ensure the efficient resolution of litigation by outside legal counsel and the third-party claims administrator.

+ Review, analyze and approve claims loss and expense payments, reserves and settlements handled by third party administrator, within stated authority.

+ Assist in the review of claim files for irregularities, accuracy and completeness.

+ Adjust both simple and complex third party property damage and bodily injury liability claims within self-insured retention and stated authority level.

+ Oversee organizations first party property claim accrual process.

+ Oversee organizations recovery, subrogation and salvage programs.

+ Assist in the implementation and oversight of claim cost control programs.

+ Maintain risk management liability and property insurance/claim field facing documentation on the Risk Management Service Center

+ Participate in periodic best practice and performance guarantee claims audits.

+ Work with internal and external partners to maximize efficiency of claims and risk management processes and systems to ensure appropriate end-user experience and satisfaction.

+ Support the development, implementation and monitoring of risk related initiatives.



**Qualifications :**



**Basic Qualifications**



+ Bachelors Degree in Business, Risk Management or Insurance preferred. Relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year for year basis.

+ Minimum 5 years of auto, property and general liability adjusting experience. Active licenses or ability to obtain licenses within 6 months of hire required.



**Preferred Qualifications**



+ Strong problem-solving skills

+ Solid judgment, strong analytical skills

+ RMIS experience

+ Collaborative work skills required

+ Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal communication skills required

+ Strong Excel skills required

+ Corporate insurance or Risk Management experience is a plus, as is broker, agent or TPA claims experience.
