You must have taken the course you wish to tutor and earned at least a B in that course. The courses offered during FSP are as follows:
UK100 to MA113, WRD110, and STA210. *Note: We will accept credit in CIS 110 and WRD 112.

Physical Requirements

This position may require walking on campus to various classroom buildings and the W.T. Young Library.

Shift

Mornings and Evenings
Must be available to attend class and workshop.

Approximately 15-20 hours per week.

Job Summary

The Freshman Summer Program Peer Tutor position consists of tutoring or facilitating study groups as well as assisting the instructor in class with study materials. Tutors will assist students with class notes, homework, problems, chapter reviews, exam preparation, discuss study skills and campus resources. Attending class, workshops and success sessions are required for FSP Peer Tutors. FSP begins June 14, 2020 and ends July 17, 2020.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

Adequate knowledge of the subject in which you would be tutoring. You must also have earned a B or higher in the course you will be tutoring.
