A career in Finance, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to help PwC in all aspects of our Finance internal function including financial planning and reporting, data analysis, and assisting leadership with overall strategy. Youll focus on recording and analysing financial transactions, paying and receiving invoices, maintaining financial statement ledger accounts, and preparing analysis and reconciliations of bills to detect fraud.Our Accounting team helps internal leaders with fixed assets accounting and asset management, financial reporting, accounting research and analysis, statutory and regulatory reporting, and data security. As part of the team, youll assist with monthly closings, financial analysis, oversight and management of controls and compliance, tax and cash projections and data security.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:

Demonstrates extensive knowledge of and/or proven track record of success in accounting and financial systems, as well as analyzing and delivering reporting of data to finance, functional, and Firm leaders to enable effective decision making including the following areas:

  • Utilizing analytical techniques for understanding the performance of a portfolio of product/service offerings of the business;
  • Identification and escalation of changing trends in balance sheet performance indicators, with a preferred focus on a professional services firm; and,
  • Understanding of Firm-wide data manipulation/visualization tech tools and awareness around how these resources are applied.

Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or proven record of success in developing solutions through analysis and visualization, preferably for a global network of professional services firms, including the following areas:

  • Partnering with other strategic groups to ideate and create analytical solutions that provide insight into the firms results and address business leader requests;
  • Utilizing business acumen within the strategic group to apply understanding of existing processes into innovative improvements or analytical solution recommendations;
  • Anticipating a range of possible solutions and opportunities, using research, analysis, and consultation with team leadership to reach sound conclusions;
  • Working with multiple data sets across the organization to extract value added insights while structuring comprehensive evidence to support results;
  • Serving as a trusted advisor to business unit leadership to provide outstanding support, meet the expectations of client groups, and achieve common goals;
  • Building and maintaining relationships with business partners, finance leaders, and stakeholders;
  • Coaching staff, setting performance goals of team, preparing and delivering training for group, providing continuous performance feedback;
  • Pursuing the infinite learner strategy by constantly expanding your knowledge of organizational behavior, technologies, innovation concepts and trends, etc.; and,
  • Communicating with confidence across the organization, sharing insights and points of view in meetings.
