Job Description
Tevas Global Research & Development (R&D) organization is devoted to the development of new medicines, devices and combination products that provide meaningful therapeutic benefit to patients worldwide. Combining creativity, scientific rigor and our extensive knowledge on a broad range of technologies, our scientists, engineers, medical doctors and project leaders across the globe use their expertise to innovate novel biologics, biosimilars, small molecule specialty medicines, generics and over-the-counter therapies.
As a member of the automation group within Specialty Biologics (SB), the candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to areas within SB using various automated instrumentation. The successful candidate will lead or assist with automated ligand binding assay development, assay validation and routine sample testing in a regulated environment.
The candidate should be current on state-of-the art technologies and expected to champion evaluation of new technologies and optimization processes.
In this role you will write and develop programs for the Hamilton Vantage, Hamilton Star and Hamilton Nimbus. It will be necessary to be able to train others and help troubleshoot instruments and programs as well as provide assay support to PK and ADA groups.
Other duties:
- Interpret data and communicate experimental results through internal meetings and presentations
- Write method SOPs, work instructions and related documentation
- Maintain laboratory equipment and facilities to assure function and operations of the laboratory comply with the applicable procedures (safety, SOP, EHS)
- Accurately record experimental results in electronic notebooks
- Assist with equipment validation/qualification
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in troubleshooting and programming liquid handlers
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree
- Solid understanding and use of DOE for assay optimization
- Demonstrated proficiency with liquid handler software, Hamilton packages a plus
- Ability to independently design, troubleshoot, execute and interpret results from experiments
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence
- Strong technical writing skills for documentation
- Collaborates well with others in the group and across groups
- Familiarity with regulated bioanalysis a plus
