Shift | Office hours: Monday – Friday may be available based on office needs. Athletic Events: Weeknights and weekend athletic events: Required to work all home football games and select athletic events for all 7 other UK Athletic ticketed sports throughout the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons, and other events hosted by UK Athletics. |
Job Summary | In accordance with established policies and procedures, provide exceptional customer service over the phone and in person at the ticket office. Answer customer inquiries and process ticket sales via phone, mail, and walk-up orders. Responsible for daily reconciliation of ticket sales and payments. Other assignments may include but are not limited to mobile ticket help zones, the compliance pass entrance, will call distribution and scanning operations. Must be able/willing to work some nights and weekends as needed for events, including working all home football games. Must have reliable transportation to and from athletic events. Perform other tasks as assigned by Ticket Office staff. Please attach a resume, cover letter and a copy of your UK class schedule. Given the COVID-19 pandemic, and the need to protect our university community including our students, staff, faculty and visitors, the University of Kentucky is requiring COVID-19 vaccination for all new hires prior to starting employment. Therefore, as of October 18, 2021, all new hires prior to their first day of employment must submit appropriate documentation showing, i) completion of the first vaccination against COVID-19, or ii) completion of the full vaccination series against COVID-19, or iii) approved exemption (medical contraindications or a sincerely held religious belief) through the formal exemption process from the COVID-19 vaccination requirement. For those employees who have completed the first vaccination against COVID-19 prior to their first day of employment, the second vaccination (if applicable) must be completed following the vaccination recommended schedule to be considered fully vaccinated. |
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities | Experience in a customer service position, both in person and over the phone. Familiarity with MS Office applications (Word/Excel). Applicants should be dependable, punctual, and possess effective communication and problem solving skills, as well as strong attention to detail. Must have a customer-friendly personality and project a positive image of the University and the Athletics Department to fans, donors, staff, students, alumni, and other groups. Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment |
