In current possession of, or able to obtain and/or hold, an unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of Kentucky

Must be able to obtain and maintain clinical privileges accepted as a member of the active medical staff UK HealthCare.

Job Summary

The Department of Family and Community Medicine is seeking a Vice Chair of Academic and Administrative Affairs. This position will assist the chair with consultation of programmatic leads, in organizing and coordinating the UME, GME, CE academic strategy for the Department., and establish a cohesive, well-functioning work group for programmatic leaders that encourages educational excellence.

The successful candidate will provide oversight of Academic Budgets, programmatic appointees and leads, academic bonus systems and resource assessment and allocation and support programmatic leaders to ensure strategic plan-based goals are achieved and the highest quality of education is maintained. The Vice Chair will also develop and manage mentoring programs, support academic leadership career tracks and participate in academic grant submission as well as faculty evaluations.
