Job Summary | The University of Kentucky College of Dentistry is seeking applications for Department Chair of the Department of Oral Health Practice (Division of Endodontics, Division of Periodontics, Division of Restorative Dentistry, Division of Prosthodontics, Division of Comprehensive Care, Division of Oral Diagnosis, Oral Medicine & Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology). This is a full time, tenure track eligible position at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor. This position provides overall leadership, strategic direction and resources for the Department of Oral Health Practice including the digital technology mission of the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry. The position directly provides and drives direction for digital implant planning/placement and teaching skills expected of students in the DMD clinic, providing direct patient care. Qualifications for this position include a DMD/DDS degree or equivalent, eligibility for academic dental licensure through the Kentucky Board of Dentistry, experience in dental education, a minimum of 10 years of clinical practice in a comprehensive general dentistry setting, proficiency in the complete dental CAD/CAM workflow. A proven record of training others in the application of digital dental technology is expected. Experience implementing digital and cutting edge dental technology in a large group practice setting is preferred. Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
