Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The purpose of the Associate Director, HCP Marketing - Movement Disorder/Psych is to evaluate markets, identify issues and opportunities within a given market, develop sales and HCP strategies and tactics. The Associate Director, HCP Marketing will work with internal and external partners to create strategic and operational plans aligned with the strategies and objectives.  The Associate Director, HCP Marketing develops operational plans, tactics and communications to optimize performance aligned to plan.

ESSENTIAL AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Identifies and executes associated tactical plans across all HCP brand segments
    • Identifies obstacles to brand growth; works collaboratively to resolve them
    • Identifies and pursues opportunities to drive brand growth
    • Works collaboratively with agency partners and marketing team to ensure flawless execution of the plan
    • Tracks and trends tactical ROI and analyzes market data and information
    • Manage and administer budgets and resource plans
  • Develop, present and execute against key areas of the annual brand plan
  • Makes presentations to customer facing functions
  • May manage conventions and therapeutic association meetings
  • May liaison with field sales and sales training to roll-out applicable HCP tactics and messaging 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Professional Expertise: In-depth knowledge of profession, wide experience and exposure, understanding of solutions
  • Business Acumen: Initiatives beyond own area, draws insights from variety of sources, understands market and competition
  • Excellence in Execution: Meets objectives and deadlines, promotes efficiency and effectiveness, incorporates improvement and program ROI
  • Analysis: Compiles relevant data from appropriate sources and performs analysis for the department; Synthesizes complex and diverse information, recognizes trends and/or interrelationships
Qualifications

Education/Certification/Experience: 

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Advanced Degree preferred. 
  •  7 Years of pharmaceutical experience required.
  • 5 Years of relevant pharmaceutical brand management experience required.
  • 5 years of marketing experience or equivalent (based on performance) required.
  • Pharmaceutical experience outside of marketing function preferred.  
  • Experience in neurology and/or psychiatry preferred.
