Job Summary

As part of a new growth initiative in the College of Engineering at the University of Kentucky, the Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering, in conjunction with the KY-NSF-EPSCoR and the Center for Applied Energy Research, invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in materials engineering at the Assistant Professor level with an anticipated start date of Fall 2020. Applicants should hold a Ph.D. degree in materials engineering or a related field with a distinguished record of research accomplishments and the capability to develop an active and nationally recognized research program. The successful candidate must demonstrate a strong commitment to undergraduate and graduate education and be qualified to teach courses in materials engineering.

The University of Kentucky is home to a vibrant and growing research community, with a strong infrastructure to support faculty development. The successful candidate will have expertise in research areas that complement existing strengths and that are targeted for future collaboration and growth within the College of Engineering, with our NSF-funded EPSCoR program, with the Center for Applied Energy Research, and with the College of Arts and Sciences.
