The college is home to 25 departments, 20 centers, and 21 research alliances. These areas among the broader research portfolio make for a vibrant, dynamic, and collaborative academic and research environment where all members will excel. The UK College of Medicine is contiguous with the Colleges of Dentistry, Health Sciences, Pharmacy, Public Health, and Nursing; and connected to the UK HealthCare enterprise, which includes four hospitals, more than 80 specialized clinics, and more than 140 outreach programs. As the leading medical/ biomedical institution within the Commonwealth, the College of Medicine and UK HealthCare provide a strong infrastructure for translational research with well-established and unique patient populations.
