Job Summary | The Department of Emergency Medicine at University of Kentucky is recruiting for a full-time faculty member at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level to join our team of medical educators. Applicants must be Board Certified or Board Eligible with experience or interest in undergraduate and graduate medical education. Interested applicants would be involved in educating learners of various levels in the emergency department in addition to leading and supervising the 3rd year medical student emergency medicine clerkship. Faculty provide coverage for the Emergency Department at the University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital and Good Samaritan Hospital. The Emergency Department at Chandler Hospital is a Level I Trauma Center and regional referral center, with over 85,000 annual visits. The Emergency Department at Good Samaritan Hospital has an annual census of over 29,000 patients. The department has 34 full-time faculty members and provides medical directorship to the state board of EMS, regional Air Medical, and UK Athletics Programs. Wildcat EM is located in Lexington, Kentucky in the heart of the Bluegrass region of the state. Lexington is rated one of the Top 25 Places to Live by US News & World Report!
