Job Description

We are looking to add a Full-Stack Software Developer to our e-commerce team! As a member of our team, you will be part of the continued improvement and growth of our B2B website.


Embed yourself on a development team where you can work on the next generation of internet software built on a modern software stack that sits on top of Amazon Web Services. You will work directly with other Developers, Software Testers, Business Analysts, Product Managers, and Directors, all of whom are actively contributing to the project. In this highly-collaborative environment, you will have the opportunity to grow as a software engineer.


This position requires excellent Object-Oriented programming and Design Pattern skills. It requires you to be able to design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug complex software applications. We are looking for a Software Engineer who is passionate about programming, quality, and truly enjoys what they do. The qualified candidate for the Software Engineer position is someone who has a can-do attitude and is an innovative thinker.


We work in an agile environment, with daily stand-ups, code reviews, and constant communication within the project team using industry standard tools such as Jira and Slack. The ability to communicate effectively with Product Analysts and QAs, as well as work closely and well with other team members, are key components for success in this position.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Take a task from start to finish, on time and with high quality
  • Engage in code reviews using Bitbucket
  • Support continuous deployment pipeline jobs using Jenkins
  • Troubleshoot production issues alongside the development team as part of Tier 2 response
  • Develop using Java 8+ technologies and Spring framework
  • Leverage open source and other technologies and languages outside of the Java framework as needed
  • Actively communicate with team members to clarify requirements and overcome obstacles to meet team goals


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • 3 or more years experience as a software developer
  • Software development experience including: OOP, RESTful service implementation, Service Oriented Architecture, ecommerce applications
  • Strong object-oriented design and development experience
  • Excellent problem solving and communication skills
  • Core components of new website are done using Java, Spring, Hibernate, React, RabbitMQ, DevOps/AWS, Jenkins


Experience, Education, Certification, License and Training

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Engineering
  • SaaS software design principles. You understand engineering enterprise-scale software that is deployed using cloud technologies like Jenkins and Code Deploy
  • RESTful APIs (Design and implementation)
  • Solid Object-oriented Java skills
  • Experience writing and implementing automated integration tests and functional tests
  • Willingness to learn new technologies
