Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

 

This position reports to the Associate Director, Engineering Services and is responsible for managing the support functions of the maintenance department.  This person will take direction from the Associate Director, Engineering Services and will assume the responsibility of administering the EAM (Equipment Asset Management) database where all preventive maintenance, on-demand work orders, calibration records and equipment inventories are created, managed, scheduled and tracked for regulatory compliance.  Will be responsible to assist Manager with other departmental tasks.

 

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies, procedures, and state, federal and local laws.
  • Scheduling all preventive maintenance, on demand work orders, as required based on the established schedules. This would include but is not limited to; Manufacturing equipment, facilities Maintenance equipment, Grounds, Warehouse and other ancillary equipment including Purified water systems, Waste Water systems etc.
  • Being effective and proactive in supporting the departmental goals and objectives.
  • Timely creation and closure of all preventive maintenance, on-demand work orders, and calibration records to include any and all attachments as required.  Any issues are brought to managements attention.
  • Assist with the timely processing and closure of Departmental CAPAs and deviations and related documents as requested.
  • Process controlled document changes.
  • Ordering of parts and supplies.
  • Reconciliation of departmental spends including monthly purchasing credit card ledgers.
  • Adherence to established policies, procedures and SOPs.
  • Actively participate in operational improvement meetings, Safety Meetings and vendor consultations. 
  • In addition to the EAM (Equipment Asset Management) program, can use common computer programs such as MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook with ease. Ability to learn new software with training.
  • Continued training to improve skill sets.
  • Attending departmental meetings as requested/required.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered.

 

Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of working experience in a maintenance department. Pharmaceutical experience is a plus.
  • Proficient with common computer programs such as MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
