Job Description

The AR Specialist on the Cash & Manual Transactions Team is responsible for providing financial, administrative and transactional processing services and expertise to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial and administrative operations for multiple operating units within the Global Teva organization. The Accounts Receivable Specialist is a key support person for the department who can meet deadlines, manage workload based on critical needs, and be able to provide extensive support across a variety of areas.  Due to business fluctuations, the below duties and responsibilities can be shared or done exclusively by a given individual with this position title.  The AR Specialist must work within established policies and procedures in compliance of SOX regulation.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities                                                                                                                        

  • Perform cash application and/or manual transactions processing for multiple operating units to ensure that all receipts are applied and customer balances are accurately maintained in a timely basis and in the correct accounting period
  • Creating and maintaining daily reports for SOX compliance, including supporting documentation
  • Provide appropriate documentation to support internal and external audits in compliance with SOX regulation
  • Responsible for meeting month-end and quarter-end deadlines, including, but not limited to completing all cash application within the appropriate accounting period, netting offsetting items as requested, and maintaining reporting records
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly departmental reports as needed
  • Follows Teva Safety, Health, and Environmental policies and procedures.
  • Other projects and duties as required/assigned such as clerical support within department



Education and Experience (Required)

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum one year general office experience.
  • Basic skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Demonstrates the ability to perform mathematical calculations and analysis.
  • Demonstrates proficient data entry skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Outstanding organizational skills.
  • Possesses the ability to take the initiative to escalate problems/issues.
  • Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively by phone or in person.
  • Once guidance/instructions are provided must be able to work independently and meet required deadlines on a weekly/monthly basis.


Education and Experience (Preferred)

  •  Associates Degree
  • 1+ years Accounting or Shared Services experience
  • High processing volume
  • SAP experience
  • Oracle experience
  • Knowledge of the global Teva organization.
