Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

The Managed Account colleague within Informa Maritime Intelligence, will execute against sales goals with respect to forecasting and revenue attainment. This generally includes managing a renewable account base, qualifying and disqualifying new business opportunities, learning customer decision/making process, creating and maintaining accurate forecasts, negotiating contracts, closing business in a timely manner, and fully comprehending the Informa Maritime Intelligence unique value proposition.

 

Key Result Areas

 

 

 

Main Activities and Responsibilities

 

 

 

Revenue Growth

Accountability for driving revenue growth across the vertical to meet or exceed expectations, including identification of revenue drivers and metrics to focus on increasing account volume, profit and penetration

Demand Generation

Monitoring performance-to-plan throughout the financial year and adjusting direction, focus and sales initiatives as needed to deliver volume commitments

Sales Execution

Providing forecasting within a 95% accuracy rate to create visibility with all market owners on revenue trends and actions to drive revenues to plan

Market Awareness

Understanding the solution sales cycle and challenges, including the strategies of competitors, and leveraging this knowledge to hone sales strategies

Product & Sector Knowledge

Working with Product Management to use customer feedback and analytical insights in the formation of new products/solutions

Customer Relationships

Giving the highest priority to customer satisfaction by maintaining effective interpersonal relationships with and listening to customers

Customer Experience

Responding to Customer survey results in order to ensure customer satisfaction

Team Engagement

Contribute effectively to a highly driven, yet collaborative and cohesive team dynamic

 

Required Skills

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of 1 years’ sales experience, with demonstrable ability to extend and add to existing revenue streams within a defined key account base within the intelligence sector
  • Additional experience within either Insurance, Finance, Shipping, Energy or Governmental sectors would be ideal
  • Demonstrated success in closing insight or services business excellent negotiation and relationship building skills
  • Must be flexible with the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with all colleagues
  • Candidate will need to be self-starter, with the ability to develop a business plan
  • Highly competitive and results-driven
  • Powerful verbal and written communication
  • Strong account management and relationship building skills.
  • Highly self-motivated.
  • Ability to successfully manage up and down
  • Proven track record in Account Management building/executing successful account plans.
  • Passionate, positive and enthusiastic
