Pharma Consulting, Informa Business Intelligence, has an exciting opportunity for an exceptional Advanced Quantitative Data Analytics Healthcare Consultant to join us in the development of our Pharma Consulting practice in London. This is an excellent opportunity for a hardworking, diligent individual to join an international consulting team, learn from our experienced Directors and Principal Consultants, and to develop a career as an expert in this field. You will deliver insightful analysis on issues across the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors, producing high quality analyses and recommendations to help address our clients’ most pressing business questions. In particular, you will employ programming skills (e.g., VBA, C#, R, Python) to conduct advanced quantitative data analytics on both internal Informa datasets and external sources of pharmaceutical and healthcare related data.

This is a unique opportunity in an exciting team that solve specific, difficult problems for our clients in the pharmaceutical industry. This position will take the lead on analysis of big data sets and building bespoke tools for use internally and externally – for example building a tool to spot data patterns that would otherwise remain undetected.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Deliver insightful analysis, collating disease and market-specific data and assessing the key drivers of market movement.
  • Participate in project delivery either via teleconference or in-person client meetings and assist (or lead) in communicating all findings to the client.
  • Assist in and eventually lead the development of primary market research materials.
  • Develop complex forecast models in Microsoft Excel.
  • Work with the team to develop project proposals and actionable work plans that reflect the client’s needs.

 

What we are looking for:

 

  • A strong academic background – ideally a Master’s degree/PhD. Academic qualifications do not need to be Pharma or med based.
  • Programming skills (e.g., VBA, C#, R, Python)
  • Proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel, including the ability to build or interpret complex forecasting models is required.
  • Commercial awareness, exceptional communication skills, rigour in analysis and reporting and flexibility.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to dive into detail and analyse key issues, identify insights, and develop actionable recommendations.
  • The ability to interpret and integrate data and information to develop clear, logical, and conclusive analysis.
  • An ability to work well as part of a team, showing flexibility and the capacity to multi-task across a range of projects with varying degrees of complexity.
  • Resilience and an ability to stay motivated and look for solutions when problems/challenges arise.
